I'm going to be on a cruise that docks in Naples - if I had to choose one site to visit, which would you recommend - Pompeii or Herculaneum? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I'd go for Herculaneum - you can see everything in about 3-4 hours and you get a good impression of what life was like. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

If you've got time, try to squeeze in both (they are both on the same rail line). Herculaneum is much more compact, but for a true idea of scale you should also see Pompeii for an idea of the public areas (forum, temples, etc). Do you find this valuable?
