Regio V occupies the north-eastern sector of Pompeii, bounded to the south by the Via dell'Abbondanza and to the north by the Via di Nola. Regio V remains to a large extent unexcavated, as denoted by the dull green shading on the plan below. Of the 7 insulae in the area, insulae 1, 2 and 4 contain properties of particular interest and are examined here in more detail.
