General Description Reg III, Ins 2 lies along the southern edge of Regio III, on the north side of the Via Dell'Abbondanza. Little is known of the properties in the insula as most of it still lies buried under metres of volcanic debris. Of the three properties unearthed to date, the only building of any real interest is the House of Trebius Valens. Known for its checkerboard decoration in the peristyle, the facade of tjhe house was badly damaged by bombing during the second world war. Plan of the Insula .. .. ....Key: .. .A.
